    Should do this

Microsoft has already done deals with Novell, Linspire, and Xandros. What Microsoft needs to do is stop while they’re slightly ahead. Apple and Linux are both catching up and taking away customers. Not to mention most people aren’t too thrilled by what Vista has to offer and from what I’ve heard Steve Ballmer pretty much admitted they don’t have the balls to deliver a better Windows by next year.

So overall I’m suggesting that Microsoft offer their code as a way for other operating systems to provide legit Windows compatibility while not being sued. This would also obviously allow Microsoft to make money off their competitors. In the long-run it’s possible such an approach would make them irrelevant but from my stand-point they don’t have an option, they’re already becoming irrelevant.
